Smitten With The Wrong Girl
I’m just looking for some advice. I know that there is no chance in anything coming of this no matter how much I wish that something would come of it but I know reality is against it. At my work there is this chick I work with everyday and not just meaning we work at the same place but as in we work together and next to each other every day.
She’s younger than me and straight. She knows I’m gay and she’s totally okay with it. She teases me and hugs me and there are light touches here and there which just drives me crazy. I love working with her, we work well with each other. I mentioned switching to another dept and she told me that she would miss me too much if she couldn’t see me every day. She asks to do things with her outside of work and I never do because I just don’t think I could handle it. I don’t know what else to do.
Any advice on how I can get over this crush?

Go for it, hang out with her, just because you think thinks shes straight doesn’t mean she is. My current girlfriend of a yaer was gay and i was straight when i met her or so i thought. We started hanging out and being friends and it clicked, she told me that she liked me and one night when we were at a concert with friends i took the next step, i held her hand and it was wonderful. So tell her how you feel because this could be your chance.
if you know nothing will come of it, what’s the harm in enjoying her company?
hang out with the girl, she’s your friend.
plus, sounds to me like you’re only assuming she’s straight. let life play out and enjoy yourself in the meantime.
