Looking for love on the internet…

So I have been single for a few months now and although I miss my ex at times I want to move on and find someone new in my life. I recently tried a lesbian dating site that is recommended by this site. But I haven’t had any luck. So i’m just wondering if it’s possible to find a love online? At first I was skeptic then wondering if it was safe. So I gave it a shot and put myself out there but no such luck. But then I thought of putting a hold on my love life. I’m getting ready to graduate next year and plan on moving to Seattle, WA after graduation. So I thought maybe I shouldn’t start a relationship.
I even starting to look for people to meet in Seattle via online. But no luck either. As far as I know that city is gay friendly, but I’d like to know at least one person before I move there.
So I guess my question is, what’s your experience with online dating? And does it really work?

Hi Roses,
I want to suggest Pogo, where I met my gf of 12 years.
It’s actually a game site with chat. There are rainbow rooms where everyone is gay.
The great thing about something like this is that it’s not a meat market, it’s a fun chat where you can make friends and flirt, and kind of naturally slide into getting to know a woman better, while having fun with lots of people.
The down side is that probably the women you meet will be long distance from you, though I have met a few friends from my town, or close to my town, over the years.
It’s http://www.pogo.com, and you can play in some rooms for free. If you like it, it’s $30 per year for a membership to go in all the games.
The people are nice there. One time I was watching Rosy O’Donnell, and she said that she goes on pogo. lol Small world. Who knows? I could have been talking to her if only I’d known. Everyone there has a screen name, and you can chat with the room, or in private if you ask the person to join you in a private room. Big fun.
It most definitely can work! I met my partner of 9yrs on an online dating site. Before meeting her I also went on quite a few dates. Give it time and good luck!
I found the love of my life on a dating site. We’re engaged and just bought a house this year. To me dating sites are all about talking via email, but make sure you meet ASAP in a safe place. Then keep on trying until you find someone that you have a mental and physical connection with.
Good luck!
Hi there, I think it works but you need to be a little patient. I started using dating sites too but after a while I actually gave up on them because I grew impatient, one day I randomly stumbled upon a chat site and so I just thought I’d give it a go. I did find someone and she is really nice and caring, to this day we are still In touch. So yes I does work, but at the same time you still need to be careful, and patient.
