April 5th, 2007OurChart.com: Can you say, disappointing???
February 15th, 2007Has anyone been to OurChart.com yet?
Let’s talk about how ABSOLUTELY irritating it is that what are we? 5 … 6 weeks into the new season of L Word and the “chart” is STILL not up and running???
Talk about poor planning! Jeeze mon!
They advertised for the site on what? Episode 1? And still there’s no chart. What DO they have you ask?
* A blog called “The Hookup” headlined by a very unattractive (not that blogging requires attractiveness or anything – I mean look at me) picture of some dorky looking girl with her very Roy Orbison specs….
…blabbering on about nothing I care to even think about – either that or pretending that she’s so blasé about going to this or that big ole celebrity function with this or that person from the L Word.
Yeah, cry me a river, lady.
Moving on…
* MORE blogs from a bunch of “celebrity” lesbians ya never heard of – save Jenny and well, I don’t want nothin’ to do with her on the show – let alone reading her drivel.
* The only section that I find remotely interesting is the one that’s ::::gasp:::: ACTUALLY related to L Word called “L Word Insider” where you can see photographs that Jennifer Beals took (very nice) and some behind the scenes stuff…
* Then of course there’s the obligatory nameless, unmemorable, talentless bands they grace us with under their “exclusives”… ooooooooooooooo be still my heart. :::::coma::::::
Whatever – do ya think anyone came to this site for this crap???
Bring.
On.
The.
Damn.
Chart!
Sakes alive! I wish I could tell my boss that my work was “coming soon” then take 3 months to turn it in…. Must be nice!
Way to get everyone all pumped up for something and drive all this traffic to your website then bore us all to death until we all drop off like flies.
What, Me Dramatic?
January 11th, 2007At first when I started watching L Word I thought – shyeah right… look at all the drama!
Yet, when I look at my own lesbian community (ok so they aren’t mine per say, despite all my efforts…) we aren’t without our mega-drama. To tell you the truth, L Word really isn’t that far-fetched.
I’m within about 2 or 3 degrees of separation from the ends to looooooooooong standing relationships, people cheating, people unsuccessfully trying to have babies, threesomes, drug abuse, alcoholism, STDs, FTMs, BLTs (oh sorry, got the a little carried away with the acronyms… )
Point is – yeah, real life lesbians do have drama – just not the fabulousssssssssssssssssssss wardrobe (not to mention the glamorous/exciting jobs).
It’s just that now the whole world is aware of how dramatic the lesbian community can be.
Want to see an example of all the drama lesbians create? Check out OurChart.com 6 weeks after the much anticipated “Chart” goes live.
You’ll see what I mean.
